Welcome to SPORT REHAB!

Sport Rehab opened in 2023, as a small Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation clinic with only one therapist.
Our staff consists of friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating therapists who are here to help you return to feeling normal. Whether you are recovering from a surgery, a broken bone, an automobile accident, decreased mobility, an injury sustained as a weekend warrior or an athlete sidelined with pain, our therapists will get you back to your happy, healthy self.

Active Physiotherapy

This actively involves the patient in movement, and empowers them to take control of their recovery. It allows the patient to strengthen muscles, gain mobility, learn proper movement patterns, and how to manage their injury at home. We help you get the most out of your physiotherapy visits, by providing you techniques to do at home that you can do to manage your condition or injury.

Some examples of active physiotherapy include:

Therapeutic exercise

These involve pain management, mobility, strength, and endurance exercises. We work with you to find ways to fit these into your busy life and schedule, and make sure you have the proper equipment to perform them at home. This is known as self-management techniques, and are key to your recovery.

Active manual therapy

You work with the physiotherapist to move with or against them to help improve strength and function.

Research shows the effectiveness of active physiotherapy, and how exercises can improve outcomes and reduce pain. Physical activity is also shown to improve quality of life and overall wellbeing, so come in and get moving! We promise you won’t regret it!

Services

Our personable and knowledgeable therapists specialize in orthopedic, Surgical and Neurological outpatient therapy for all ages.

Individualized Evaluation

During your initial visit, we will spend approximately 30min gathering information to help us determine the source of pain and best course of treatment for your condition. The goal of this session is to educate you on your specific condition and establish a personalized plan of care, which will guide us on how to manage symptoms and work towards recovery.

Follow Up Visits

Based on the established plan, a typical session may include modalities that help to decrease pain and/or promote relaxation of tissues prior to or following treatment. We utilize manual therapy such as: massage, stretching, and joint mobilization to get you feeling and moving better. We may also take advantage of taping techniques to help guide or stabilize your body during exercise.

Various forms of exercise will be used to promote blood flow, tissue healing, and strengthening, to help you return to desired level of mobility. Exercises are progressed as you demonstrate improvement, with the goal of a returning you to your best possible level of performance. This could mean a return normal daily activities, return to work, lifting activities, or success in athletic competition. We will continuously evaluate and work with you to provide an optimal experience that will return you to your desired activity level, as quickly as possible.

We treat a wide range of diagnoses including extremity injuries, spine issues, Stroke and vestibular issues, as well as a variety of post surgical conditions.
